hittin' the highway

As reported, I'm pulling up stakes. I'll continue reading the blogs of a select group here (thus am retaining the blogger identity to facilitate the process) and commenting when my tongue can't be held. To any who may be interested in being ferried to my new digs, pen that fine sentiment along with an e-mail address in the comments box. The neighborhoods may change but not the neighbors ... and with that I bind a fond farewell from blogger.com.

Better send me the forwarding address, too. It won't do having one less person to haunt!

I know you have my e-mail address...

Vaya Con Dios...

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

...and may you be in heaven 1/2 an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

A lovely passage, thank you. I can't resist the temptation to tweak it in response:

The road has risen up abundantly to meet me.
The wind is frequently at my front.
The sun shines warm upon my face 6 months of the year in the Pacific Northwest.
the rains fall powerfully upon my fields
and we shall meet again
and, wouldya look at that, I hold the key in the palm of my hand!

... and I may be in heaven 1/2 hour before the devil knows I'm dead if I don't stop at the pub on the way.

Thanks for bein' here.
